A highlight of this visit to India includes the colorful Holi Festival, which celebrates the eternal and divine love of Krishna and the Hindu goddess, Radha. The festival is celebrated every year at the arrival of spring throughout the country, but the two best places in all of India to witness this spectacular celebration is Mathura and Vrindavan. Mathura is considered the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and you will have the exciting opportunity to participate in the playful colors being applied to one another.
Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a union territory east of India in the Bay of Bengal. consisting of 836 islands and islets. Only some 38 of these exotic islands, are inhabited. Their white sand beaches, mangroves, and tropical rainforests make it an ideal setting to escape the hustle and bustle of the cities. The islands contain some of the best coral diversity in the Indian region with close to 180 different species that are home to an array of marine life making it an excellent destination for snorkeling and diving.
Nepal is well known for being home to Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain in the Himalaya. However, there is much more to this country than just mountain climbing. There is a rich history waiting to be discovered. It’s fascinating culture in a predominately Hindu and Buddhist society, consists of around 125 ethnic groups that express themselves through music, dance, language, religion, and celebrations. Nepal is full of archeological and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In addition, it is home to 12 national parks including Chitwan, one of the best habitats for endangered Bengal tigers in the world and has the largest population of Indian rhinoceros in Nepal.
